Visitors to the community swimming pool in Pencoed, Bridgend are benefitting from highly efficient hot water production, thanks to two 350kW MAX GAS burners from Ecoflam UK. The burners have replaced ageing oil units as part of a conversion to mains gas.

The burners were specified by Bridgend County Borough Council. Commenting on Ecoflam, Senior Mechanical Engineer Nigel Baker said: “We’ve used various Ecoflam burners before so we knew they would have the right product for the installation. After consulting their technical team, the MAX GAS burners were clearly the best option and have helped make the conversion from oil to gas a great success.”

The highly popular MAX GAS range of extremely low NOx gas burners is suitable for domestic and commercial applications. Available in outputs from 17kW to 500kW, the range has best in class NOx emissions and features an extremely efficient fan ventilation system – making it compatible with a wide variety of boilers with high combustion chamber pressures.

To make maintenance easy, the MAX GAS has a single bolt burner fixing with the capability to firmly secure it to the flange in three fixing points. Plus, the hinge flange also allows access to the burner head without losing burner settings. Additional features include an air damper with progressive micrometric air regulation, easy to assemble combustion head and a separate gas train.

The MAX GAS burner range utilises standard components from industry leaders, making it exceptionally easy to obtain spare parts. It is also designed and engineered to burn the next generation of fuels including LPG, Biogas and Towngas.
