Ecoflam has supplied 3 BLU gas burner 500kW as part of a major refurbishment of the heating and hot water system at Christopher Whitehead Language College, Worcester. The BLU gas burners were fitted on the replacement cast iron condensing boilers – upgrading the ageing system.

The burners were specified by Worcestershire County Council’s Principal Mechanical Engineer Jeff Widdett. Commenting on the project he said:

“Keeping the school’s heating and hot water system running throughout the year is incredibly important, which means we need to install products that are reliable and efficient. As one of our preferred suppliers, Ecoflam was able to provide the ideal burner for the project and we were delighted that a local supplier could meet the specification criteria.”

BLU Gas Burners:

With outputs from 270 to 25,000kW, the highly versatile BLU range of low NOx gas burners is suitable for domestic, commercial and process applications. Featuring an adjustable combustion head with a turn down ration of 1:5, the BLU range can complement a wide variety of combustion chambers. Plus, all models have a highly efficient fan ventilator which is designed to give flame stability.

BLU models up to 2000.1 have aluminium casings while the remaining models in the range have steel casings with an integrated electrical panel (IP40). In addition, a modulating version is available with PID system controller, digital set point display and real time values.

The BLU gas burner range utilises standard components from industry leaders, making it exceptionally easy to obtain spare parts. And for ease of maintenance, access to the firing head is through the top burner cover.

The BLU range of burners are designed and engineered to burn the next generation of fuels including LPG, Biogas and Towngas. Additionally, Ecoflam can supply bespoke Duoblock and Electronic versions to match specific outputs of primary boilers.
